Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has said the club will now have a rest (no midweek games) and start anew with focus on their next target in the Europa League, and he hopes to have some of his injured players back to help the team build on their strong performance towards the end of the season. Spurs have endured a difficult
time, crashing out of two competitions in a single week – to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and most recently to Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday.
Speaking after the game, Ange praised his players for fighting through such difficult times and hopes the team will be stronger after a break from the rigours of the game and with the return of some injured players in the final stretch of the season.
“Nothing has really changed, we’ve now had two weeks without a midweek game,” Ange said after the game.
“This group of lads have done unbelievably for the last two-and-a-half months. I have a lot of praise for them, they’ve been playing two games a week since November. สนใจสมัคร? คลิกที่นี่เพื่อเริ่มต้น
Now they have a chance to rest and prepare themselves to do their best towards the end of the season. “
Europe is still very important for us, we are still in a good position. And hopefully we’ll have some players back in the next two weeks,” he said. “
When we can get players back it will be a big help. Today we had 11 players unavailable. If a team loses that many players in one game then it’s a problem, but we’ve been dealing with this situation for two and a half months.
“All the players have given everything they can, but if they had more help then it would have been better.”
